About Design In Bloom

:::high quality flowers meet exceptional design technique:::

Exclusively an event floral, Design in Bloom began when a financial analyst left the corporate world, went back to school, and decided flowers were the bees knees. That’s me, Cynthia Damico. I’ve been designing professionally for over 15 years now, but have been creating bouquets and tending gardens for much longer than that. My company and need to strike out on my own began when I couldn’t convince my bosses, the flower shop owners, to grow a little of their own so we’d have a little extra edge over the next shop. They were all too inside the box, slaved to the readily available flowers from their wholesale distributors. One fat garden and ten years later, it’s all come together in a perfect storm of function and design. Locally and organically grown flowers, foliage and fruit bolstered by the best products from California, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South America and Europe, all combine to inspire brides as well as this floral designer. I like to think we’re a little different than the average flower arranger shop, slightly quirky and interesting, rather than common and predictable.

While I would love to take all the credit, I do have a talented and inspired staff, and tend to use ‘I’ and ‘We’ interchangeably. While we work on every event together, I think it’s important for you to have one point person. Every event is designed and overseen by me, and I’m designing for you just as if it were my own event. With my personal approach, and meticulous attention to detail (type A++, the leftovers from the financial analyzing days), your event will be what your guests are talking about in years to come, and the yardstick they’ll use to measure all other events.

We love what we do and would love to put that passion to work for you.
